SOUTHPORT, N.C. – Southport is a beautiful travel destination that excites beach lovers and history buffs alike with its encapsulating beaches, spectacular fishing, and deep history. Southport, known for its Hallmark movie feeling and inviting locals, is the ideal summer destination for anyone looking for a peaceful vacation.
  
The official city of Southport website shares the exciting parts of this small-town beach destination. The City of Southport website describes that downtown has, “dozens of historic buildings, tempting restaurants and eateries, and unique boutiques while taking a stroll through Southport’s biggest attraction.” Next, for some fun historical insight on Southport, head to the heart of the town and check out the North Carolina Maritime Museum. According to the City of Southport, get lost in “centuries of local Southport culture” and discover “all aspects of local life since the town was formed.” And finally, to finish your perfect day head over to the Southport Pier and Riverwalk to experience spectacular views and wildlife. This town provides the perfect peaceful vacation for all ages.

When planning a trip to Southport, keep the month of July in mind. Southport celebrates America’s birthday like nothing you've ever seen. According to Travel + Leisure writer Lydia Simonton, Southport is the “fourth of July Capital of North Carolina.” If you’re lucky enough to book a trip during the July 4 holiday, you will get to experience, according to Travel + Leisure, the “legendary parade and accompanying activities that bring in more than 40,000 people.”

       Life can be overwhelming, and the world we live in leaves us in feelings of dread and hopelessness. We often ask ourselves how can people be as cruel as they are? Palm Sunday Draws in worshippers and Incites Christ-Like Connections Palm Sunday brought many people to congregate at River Oak church, encouraging a place of worship and reflection on everything the Lord Jesus Christ has done for the world. The worship at River Oak boomed throughout the massive building. Illuminating the faces of the congregation. Pastor Eric Hammen gave an impactful sermon about the importance of Palm Sunday, sharing why so many people came to see Jesus Christ. To see their Messiah and witness His miracles for themselves. Millions of people gathered around to see Jesus Christ’s glory.
